These apply when you read this site, ring the number on it, or engage us for work. They are short, and several of them exist because septic is a permitted trade where the regulator, not the contractor, has the final say.

Everything written on this site describes how onsite wastewater systems behave in this part of South Carolina and what putting them right generally involves. It is necessarily general. No article can tell you what is under your lawn, and reading one is not a substitute for borings.
Every figure published here is a range, not an offer
The costs shown are researched estimates for the tri-county area. They are indicative only and move with material prices, permit fees and soil conditions, and they are subject to change without notice. A price you can rely on is issued in writing after a site evaluation, and only then.
The regulator decides what may be installed
System type, sizing and siting are determined by the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services under Regulation 61-56, applied to your soil and your lot. We can advise, design and apply. We cannot promise an outcome, and any contractor who promises you a particular system before the evaluation is guessing.
Calls are answered by software and are recorded
Some or all of what comes in is fielded by automated voice software, and each conversation is captured and converted to text. Placing the call constitutes agreement to both. Request a human being and you will get one. Understand too that nobody monitors this line around the clock: with sewage rising indoors, stop running water and telephone us, and where somebody is genuinely at risk, dial 911.
Work is scheduled once both sides have it in writing
Confirmation means something written — a message, or an estimate you have signed. How long a permit takes is decided by the regional office rather than by us, and we will not pretend to control it. Weather, standing groundwater and the regulator’s own inspection schedule all shift dates; when one shifts, you find out the same day we do.
We need the site, and the site needs preparing
Vehicle access to the work area, gates and obstructions cleared, and anything you know about buried utilities, irrigation, wells or old systems told to us in advance. Excavation is disruptive by nature: expect ruts, bare ground and a yard that takes a season to recover. Restoration is grading, seed and straw unless the estimate says otherwise.
Some things are outside what we do
Interior plumbing, electrical beyond the pump circuit, well drilling, engineered design needing a licensed designer, and land surveying are separate licensed trades. When the real problem lands in one of those, you get told plainly and given a name, because working outside a licence is how a contractor ends up in front of a board.
Payment and any guarantee live on the estimate
Payment stages and whatever workmanship cover applies to your job are set out in your written estimate, and that document governs wherever it and this page disagree. Nothing published on this website creates a warranty by itself, and no warranty covers a system failing because it was loaded beyond its design.
Photographs you send are for estimating
Sending images lets us judge and plan the work. It grants nothing else. Publishing anything from your property needs your explicit agreement first, and saying no costs you nothing.
Links off this site are not ours
Some pages reference outside material — state regulations, agency pages, public records. We link them because they are useful and we do not control what they say today.
What this site does not promise
The website is provided as it stands. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or freedom from error, and acting on a general article here instead of an evaluation of your own property is your decision. Nothing above attempts to exclude any liability the law does not allow us to exclude.
